Imz Peanut Butter & Jelly Toast🍓🍌

I am always posting toasts and such on my social media and it is no secret that I can NEVER get tired of having toasts for breakfast. This is my go-to quick breakfast and it comes packed with healthy fats, complex carbs, and a fruit! Also who doesn’t love a good peanut butter jelly am I right?

TOAST

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 slices of bread (I used Dave’s Killer Bread)

  • 1 and 1/2 TBS unsalted peanut butter (I used Fatso)

  • 1/2 ripe Banana

  • Cinnamon

  • Hemp Seeds

  • 2 tsp honey (or add more to taste)

… Jam or Homemade Chia Jam!

Homemade Chia Jam🍓


I love to use some homemade Jam on top of my peanut butter. It’s an easy way to add some freshness to the toast while packing in some chia seeds and texture. Chia Jam:

NGREDIENTS

  • 1 cups fresh or frozen fruit (see suggestions below)

  • 1 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1/2 tablespoon freshly-squeezed lemon juice

  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (only if needed)(Makes enough for a week!)

    DIRECTIONS:
    Stir in the chia seeds and lemon juice until combined.

    Then taste, and stir in 1 or 2 tablespoons sweetener if needed.
    Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes. (The jam will thicken considerably as it cools.)
    Give the jam one final good stir. Then serve immediately, or transfer to a sealed container and refrigerate for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.

FINAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Toast the bread, and spread peanut butter on each toast and follow with Jelly.
2. Place slices of Banana on the spread.
3. Sprinkle with hemp hearts and cinnamon.
Drizzle a teaspoon of honey on top of each slice of toast(optional).
